NBC is once again broadcasting the Games, this version from Vancouver. Bob Costas and Matt Lauer will host tonight’s coverage of the opening ceremonies, which will be live at 7:30 p.m. for the east coast, and on tape delay at the same time on the west coast.

A slew of stars woke up to some very good news this morning. The 82nd Annual Academy Award nominations were announced today at 8:38 AM ET.
That meant for many stars the good news came at the early morning hour of 5:38 AM in Hollywood. We doubt, however, that many stars minded this kind of wake-up call.
This year's nominees were announced by actress and 2008 Oscar nominee, Anne Hathaway and Academy President, Tom Sherak live from the Samuel Goldwyn Theater in Beverly Hills.

Two of Michael Jackson's three children made a rare appearance at last night's Grammys to honor of their late father.
Channeling their father's signature style in black suits, red arm bands, and white socks with black shoes, Prince Michael, 12, and Paris, 11, took to the stage after a 3-D tribute to the King of Pop, to accept a "Lifetime Achievement Award" on his behalf.
Prince Michael spoke first thanking God and his grandparents for taking care of himself and his siblings for the last seven months, and thanking his father's fans saying, "Our father loved you so much because you were always there for him."

It was another big awards weekend in Tinseltown. The 16th Annual Screen Actors Guild Awards took place in Los Angeles Saturday night and Hollywood's biggest stars came out to honor one another.
"Inglourious Basterds" took the night's top honor, the statuette for outstanding performance by a cast in a motion picture, while outstanding female and male actor nods went to Sandra Bullock ("The Blind Side") and Jeff Bridges ("Crazy Heart").
"Inglourious Basterds" received a second honor when Christoph Waltz was recognized as best supporting male actor for his role as a Nazi colonel.

The award season kicked off last night with the People's Choice Awards 2010.
It was a great night for vampires with "The Twilight Saga" winning four awards.
The ensemble cast snagged the award for "Favorite On-Screen Team," and went on to win the awards for "Favorite Movie" and "Favorite Franchise." Taylor Lautner also won the award for "Favorite Break-out Actor" for his role as Jacob in the teen franchise.
