Jay-Z performs at 2009 American Music Awards
Jay-Z is joining many music critics in saying the classic "We are the World" anthem should never have been remade. The updated version of the 1985 song for charity was recorded last month, and the song and video debuted Friday night during NBC's coverage of the Winter Olympics opening ceremonies. Many critics didn't like the new version, which included some new lyrics and rapping. The remake of the classic USA For Africa anthem "We are the World" will premiere tonight during NBC's coverage of the Olympics' Opening Ceremonies. Francis Cobain arrives at the Rodeo Drive Walk of Style Award
According to British rag, Guardian, Frances Bean Cobain, daughter of the late Curt Cobain and Courtney Love, is following in her parents' footsteps and joining the music industry.
