Live Nation, the tour’s promoter, released the following statement:
"Christina Aguilera's summer tour has been moved to 2011 due to prior commitments that the singer had made to her film, 'Burlesque,' and to the promotion of her new album, 'Bionic.' The singer felt she needed more time to rehearse the show and with less than a month between the album release and tour dates this wasn't possible."

A video of a 13-year-old Crystal Bowersox performing in 1999 in Huron, Ohio, popped up on YouTube on Thursday. It's a fascinating look at the young Crystal, who clearly had already found her voice as an artist but also sounded notably like one of her favorite singer/songwriters, Jewel.
In it, a guitar-playing Bowersox performs what appears to be an original song -- a multitude of Googlers can't seem to find it anywhere -- on the Cathy Black Show at the Huron Boat Basin. A local videographer dug it up and posted it, and is also promising to post her rendition of "Desperado."

In preparation for the June launch of her latest album, Miley Cyrus debuted a music video for her single, "Can't Be Tamed" today.
The video features Cyrus with enormous black wings, trapped in a bird cage and participating in a series of dance numbers with loads of back-up dancers.
While discussing the sexy video with Ryan Seacrest, the popstar said, "It's the first step to growing up but I think it's done the right way. I'm really proud of it."

When Whitney Houston canceled the first four concerts of her European tour, tongues got to wagging (and bloggers to blogging) about her reported erratic behavior and uneven performances this year onstage.
Houston, 46, fought back Wednesday, telling People that she has not had a drug relapse. Instead, she was hospitalized in Paris this week for an upper respiratory infection brought on by severe allergies.

Singer Tom Jones has canceled concerts scheduled for this week in South Korea and Singapore as he battles “acute laryngitis,” according to his website.
Jones has been resting his voice for a week, but doctors warned him that “that by performing, Sir Tom could risk serious permanent damage to his vocals,” according to a post on his website, www.TomJones.com.
A week ago Jones, 69, began a concert in Singapore’s new entertainment complex, Resorts World Sentosa, but was only able to sing two songs.

Sixteen-year-old superstar crooner Justin Bieber got into the spirit of April Fool’s Day with an appearance on Funny Or Die, in which he attempts to play a brat.
Bieber’s album, My World 2.0, sits atop the Billboard charts with 283,000 units sold in its first week. In his Funny or Die vid, he plays the spoiled celebrity, claiming he hires people to carry him around when he gets too tired and threatening that he’ll buy any club that won’t let him in – and turn it into a Chuck E. Lady Gaga, sued last week for $30 million by a former producer/ex-boyfriend, has hit him back in court.
Gaga’s ex-boyfriend Rob Fusari, the co-writer of her songs “Paparazzi” and “Beautiful, Dirty, Rich” sued the singer – whose real name is Stefani Germanotta – in court. He claimed, among other things, that he created the moniker “Lady Gaga” and that he entered into a contract with her four years ago that would give him a portion of her merchandising and revenue.
He is seeking $30.5 million.

The estate of Michael Jackson has signed a contract with Sony Music Entertainment that is worth up to $250M, making it the biggest deal in music history. The contract guarantees payments of $200 million for 10 projects over the next seven years, including an album of all-new, never-heard material that is due out in November.

The CEO of Taylor Swift's record label has heard the critics -- and is firing back.
TIred of hearing about Swift's sub-par performance at the Grammys on Sunday, Scott Borchetta of Big Machine Records told the Associated Press that his multiplatinum star had a "technical issue" during both her solo and her duet with Stevie Nicks. The performances were panned by critics and the Twitterverse alike.
