Oscar night has finally arrived and fabulously dressed celebs have made their way down the red carpet at the Kodak Theatre.
Anna Kendrick stopped by E! and told Ryan Seacrest that her gorgeous blush Elie Saab gown was actually a last-minute decision. When Seacrest asked how her Twilight costars were reacting to her nomination, Kendrick said, "Everyone's been so excited and supporting," the actress replied, saying she had seen Kristen Stewart at the BAFTA Awards a week earlier, and Taylor Lautner just the night before.
When asked how she felt about being the rumored favorite for the best supporting actress category, Mo'Nique replied, "I'm honored. I'm appreciative." But the actress was quick to say she was just as honored by many of her past projects which received less attention. However, she did admit that Precious had changed her life and she hoped it changed the lives of others as well.
Zoe Saldana looked gorgeous laughing in her cream and lilac gown. The actress chatted with Seacrest about being inspired by director James Cameron and even demonstrated her trademark Avatar hiss.
Up next, Joel Madden and fiance Nicole Richie stopped by to discuss Madden's DJ duties for the evening. "I'm doing a lot of old school, Mo-Town...of course some Lionel Richie, some Michael Jackson." When asked about a wedding date Richie joked, "Tomorrow."
Getting an eyeful of Vera Farmiga's body-hugging Marchesa gown, Seacrest did nothing to calm the nominee's nerves about tripping in front of millions, saying "Have you seen the stage?" "Thanks Ryan," the actress joked, before continuing on her way down the red carpet.
Back over at E! an excited Tina Fey showed off her Michael Kors gown and happily announced that her hit show 30 Rock had recently been picked up for a fifth season.
Jake Gyllenhaal joked with Seacrest about the apparently wild "night-before party" the previous evening. Of his Oscar nominated sister Maggie (in Dries van Noten), Jake said "I can't express how much I love her."
"Are you in love?" Seacrest asked a grown-up looking Miley Cyrus (wearing Jenny Packham) of her Last Song costar and current boyfriend Liam Helmsworth. "Maybe," giggled the singer-actress, who quickly changed the subject by admitting she was nervous about the stairs during her presenting duties later in the evening.
Best actress nominee Meryl Streep (dressed in sophisticated white) jokingly accused Seacrest of "cheerleading" for her competition, Sandra Bullock.
"If fashion was porn, this dress would be the money shot," best actress nominee Gabourey Sidibe bragged to Seacrest of her Marchesa off-the-shoulder navy gown.
"I have to give the dress back tomorrow, but tonight it's all mine," presenter Sarah Jessica Parker gushed about her Chanel Couture gown.
Best actress nominee Sandra Bullock, stunning in pale gold Marchesa, reminisced about the journey through award season and her big night ahead, saying, "It's all fantastic..All these moments leading up to this...You've just got to enjoy the ride and it's been some ride." As for what she will eat after the show? A big juicy burger and fries.
