These days many shoppers find themselves online during their lunch break, hastily ordering a birthday gift or new book before diving back into an already busy day.

Most online shoppers forfeit saved money for saved time, but according to Christian Gordun, CEO and founder of www.CouponCraze.com, one doesn't have to eliminate the other.

In an effort to help the frazzled and frugal, Gordrun has taken to ReadersDigest.com to share his secrets to saving money while shopping online.

Timing is Everything
Online stores post new coupons three times per month: from the 1st to the 3rd , the 14 to the 16th, and the 28th until the last day of the month.

Ask For What You Need
Visit a coupon site like www.CouponCraze.com to search for coupons for specific items on your list. This eliminates wasting time on multiple sites.

Beware the Promo Box
If you enter a promotion code while shopping online make sure the discounted price is reflected before you submit your payment. Genuine promotion codes will always be reflected before the payment is made, never after.

Use Online Coupons to Save Big on Travel
Travel sites offer great package deals during the second half of the month, which are valid for the next month. These deals are unbeatable and can range from discounted airfare, accommodations, dining, cash credits and more.

Combine Savings
It is sometimes possible to combine two discounts, for example a percentage discount with a shipping discount. If two coupon codes can be used together if they are identified as “stackable.”
