The details aren't clear, but it appears Tiger Woods is close to being ready to rejoin the PGA Tour.
One report has Woods preparing for this month's Arnold Palmer Invitational, but sources indicate to the Associated Press, ESPN and Fox Sports that the embattled golfer will likely return for the April 8 Masters.
Another possible scenario came from longtime Woods friend Mark O' Meara, who told the Golf Channel this week that it would not surprise him if Woods played the March 22-23 Tavistock Cup.
The Masters, with its tight crowd control and its sanitized CBS coverage, has long been speculated as a natural place for Woods to ease back into golf. Woods has spent the past two weeks practicing near his Orlando-area home and planning his return after the worldwide sex scandal, subsequent rehab and public apology that have kept him on the front page.
Reports also have said this week that former Bush press secretary Ari Fleischer is helping plan Woods' return strategy.
