The Academy Awards may be over, but the votes for the best dressed on Sunday night's red carpet are just beginning to pour in.
No matter whose look was your favorite, one thing is for sure, the fashion was sophisticated, elegant and out in force, leaving no one disappointed.
Sandra Bullock
The leading lady was a winner in more than one category last night. She took home the statuette for best actress, but if there was an award for best dressed she would be a top contender as well. The actress made it impossible to look away in this glamorous beaded gown by Marchesa. Polished hair and crisp red lipstick made her the belle of the ball.
Anna Kendrick
In a classic case of: Who made the look? The gal or the gown? We have to go with both. The best supporting actress nominee is breathtaking in this feminine pink gown by Elie Saab. The pale pink gown perfectly suited the actress' peaches and cream complexion as she glided down the red carpet.
Kristen Stewart
Kendrick's Twilight costar and one of the evening's presenters, the usually ultra-casual Kristen Stewart made quite the red carpet statement. Stewart traded her usual t-shirts and Converse for this strikingly sophisticated Monique Lhuillier gown. The actress exuded simple elegance and natural beauty as she made her way down the red carpet with swept back hair and a simple bracelet around her wrist.
Carey Mulligan
Taking home the award for having the most fun with fashion, best actress nominee Carey Mulligan brought youth, exuberance and plenty of elegance to the red carpet in this quietly playful Prada gown. From far away her asymmetrical frock looks like a classic Academy Awards choice. However, take a closer look at the beading and you will find tiny charms of scissors, forks, knives and peace signs.
Sarah Jessica Parker
Known for her high fashion red carpet statements, SJP rose to the occasion in this one-of-a-kind Chanel Haute Couture gown. The classic column gown was taken to another level with silver rose details and a unique neckline reaching around from the back. Parker took her look to the avant garde edge with theatrical hair and dramatic eye make-up.
Of her gown, Parker gushed, "I have to give the dress back tomorrow, but tonight it's all mine!"
Cameron Diaz
Sticking with the evening's theme of old Hollywood glamour, Cameron Diaz floated down the red carpet in this gilded ballgown by Oscar de la Renta. Soft waves and red lips completed her simply flawless look.
Vera Farmiga
There was just something striking about the best supporting actress nominee in her red and ruffled Marchesa gown. The body-hugging look gave the actress plenty of statuesque height and perfectly accented her pale skin and strikingly blue eyes.
Other memorable looks that can't be left out include:
Gabourey Sidibe was nothing if not proud of her midnight blue Marchesa gown, declaring, "If fashion was porn, this dress would be the money shot."
Diane Kruger was classic in ruffled ivory and black Chanel Haute Couture.
Penelope Cruz went for glamour in her burgundy Donna Karan Couture.
Rachel McAdams picked up on the latest pattern trend in Elie Saab Haute Couture.
Zoe Saldana showed off her great figure and quiet elegance in this purple hued gown by Givenchy Haute Couture.
Demi Moore looked sweet in her peach-hued Atelier Versace gown.
Meryl Streep looked every bit the leading lady in her classically elegant white Chris March.
Jennifer Lopez made a bold statement in her voluminous gown from Armani Privee.
Miley Cyrus noted that she was channeling Marilyn Monroe in her bodice-topped Jenny Packham.
Amanda Seyfried glided down the red carpet in her pale mint Armani Privee ballgown.
Elizabeth Banks cut the perfect figure her in fit-to-flare gray Versace gown.
