In what is arguably her best performance to date, reality star Heidi Montag teamed with award winning director Ron Howard and Funny or Die to create a hilarious public service announcement in which Montag pokes fun at her recent plastic surgery procedures. (Watch it below)
The video, which calls for financial reform by congress in the wake of the credit crisis, features Montag jokingly showing off her new look which she alleges was paid for with credit cards because she had already spent all of her I'm a Celebrity: Get Me Out of Here money on Hermes handbags, a pint-size pooch and "healing bracelets" for her husband Spencer Pratt.
Montag goes on to explain that with hidden fees and interest rate increases "that $11,000 jaw line," gesturing to her own face, "can end up costing you upwards of $50,000."
"Being in debt for elective surgery is bad enough," the reality star says. "But when I think about the thousands of Americans whose only method of paying for food is their credit cards, it's enough to make me cry without moving my new face."
Using her fame for a good cause, Montag urges consumers to contact their senators to help stop banks and credit card companies from "being such sleazy jerks!"
The message is part of a series of videos being released by Americans for Financial Reform urging Congress to form an independent Consumer Financial Protection Agency and pass further financial reform.
